This policy explains what information Govt Job Alerts ("we," "this site") collects when you use govtjobalerts.org.in, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Information you give us directly. If you sign up for job alerts through a form on this site, we collect your email address and phone number. That's the only personal information we collect through account-like features, because we don't have accounts, logins, or profiles on this site.
Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes. We don't use this to build a profile of you individually.
What we do with it
Your email and phone number are used solely to send you job, admit card, and result alerts, which is what you signed up for. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
To deliver alerts, your email and phone number may be passed to a third-party form/notification service we use for this purpose. That service processes your information only to help us reach you with the alerts you signed up for.
Cookies and local storage
This site may use your browser's local session storage to remember small things like whether you've already seen a particular pop-up during your visit, so we don't show it to you repeatedly. This is not used to track you across other websites.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, at any time. Email contact@govtjobalerts.org and we'll act on it promptly. If you no longer want to receive alerts, you can also request removal from the alert list the same way.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you're subscribed to alerts, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us, but no method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
