Selection Process & Exam Scheme

The selection framework consists of two main stages for technical and trade posts, followed by certificate verification and medical review.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): The written exam evaluates domain knowledge and general aptitude. For technical posts, 80 multiple choice questions test trade or engineering subjects, carrying 80 marks for a duration of 90 minutes. A negative marking penalty of 0.33 marks applies for each incorrect answer. For MTS and Driver posts, the written exam covers general awareness, basic mathematics, English comprehension, and reasoning.
2. Skill Test / Physical Test: Candidates shortlisted from the CBT at a 1:5 ratio proceed to the practical skill test or physical efficiency test. The skill test carries 100 marks and is purely qualifying in nature. Candidates must score a minimum of 50 marks (40 marks for reserved categories) to qualify.
3. Final Merit List: Final selection is determined strictly on the basis of marks secured in the Computer Based Test among candidates who qualify in the skill test.
