Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can candidates from states other than Delhi apply for these posts?

Yes, candidates from all over India can apply. However, candidates belonging to the OBC category from states other than Delhi will be considered under the Unreserved (UR/General) category and will not receive OBC age relaxations. Only Delhi-OBC candidates receive reservation benefits.

Is there an interview for the Peon or LDC posts?

No. Group C and Group B (Non-Gazetted) recruitments under DSSSB do not involve a personal interview. Selection is based entirely on the marks secured in the One Tier written examination, followed by a qualifying skill test (typing/shorthand) for posts like PA and LDC.

What is the pattern for the Tier-1 written exam?

The standard Tier-1 exam for these posts typically consists of 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions covering General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension, and Test of English Language & Comprehension. A negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for each wrong answer.
